THE SHORT VERSION

  • Use warplo for links you have the right to share. You're responsible for where your links go.
  • No phishing, malware, spam, scams, or anything illegal. We check every new link and remove harmful ones, sometimes without warning.
  • Slugs are on loan, not owned. We can take back slugs that impersonate someone or cause confusion.
  • warplo is provided as is. We work hard to keep it fast and online, but we can't promise it always will be.

01Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to everyone who signs in to warplo or creates short links at warplo.link ("warplo", "we", "us"). By signing in, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use warplo for a company or organisation, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

People who only click warplo links don't need an account. The Privacy Policy explains what we record when they do.

02The service

warplo turns long web addresses into short ones at warplo.link, redirects people who open them, and shows the link's creator how many clicks it gets. We may add, change or remove features over time.

03Your account

  • You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 13, or the minimum age for online services where you live if that's higher.
  • One account is for one person. Don't share your sign-in or use someone else's.
  • You're responsible for everything done with your account. Sign out on shared computers, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
  • Don't create accounts in bulk or to get around a limit or a ban.

04Acceptable use

You may not use warplo to link to, hide, or promote:

  • phishing or pages that trick people into giving away passwords, payment details or personal information,
  • malware, unwanted software, or downloads that harm devices,
  • spam, including links sent in unsolicited bulk messages,
  • scams and fraud, including fake shops, fake giveaways and investment schemes,
  • content that sexually exploits or endangers children,
  • content that harasses, threatens or promotes violence against people,
  • impersonation of a person, brand or organisation in a way that misleads,
  • material that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights,
  • anything else that is illegal where you or your audience are.

You also may not:

  • use short links to hide a destination from security filters, or chain redirects to get around our checks,
  • change what a destination shows after it has passed our checks, in order to serve harmful content,
  • create links automatically or in bulk beyond what the dashboard and its limits allow,
  • probe, overload, or try to break into warplo or its users' accounts,
  • resell or rebrand warplo as your own service without our written permission.

05Your links

You're responsible for the links you create and for where they lead. You keep whatever rights you have in your destinations. You give us permission to store your links and to redirect anyone who opens them, which is what the service does.

A custom slug lets you use a short name, but you don't own it. We may reclaim or rename a slug that impersonates someone, confuses people, infringes a trademark, or that we need for warplo itself.

06Safety checks and removals

Every new destination is checked against lists of known phishing and malware sites, such as Cloudflare's security filtering, and may also be checked with services like abuse.ch URLhaus and Google Web Risk. Links that fail are refused. If the check can't be completed, the link isn't created.

Passing the check doesn't mean a link is safe or approved. A destination can change after it's checked, and no list catches everything. We may review links at any time, and we may:

  • disable or delete any link that breaks these terms or puts people at risk,
  • show a warning before redirecting,
  • limit, suspend or close an account,
  • report illegal content to the authorities.

We usually act first and explain afterwards, because harmful links do damage fast. If you think we've made a mistake, contact us and we'll take another look.

07Reporting abuse

SEEN A HARMFUL WARPLO LINK?

Email [email protected] with the full short link, for example warplo.link/abc123, and a sentence on what's wrong. You don't need an account. We review reports as quickly as we can and disable harmful links once confirmed.

For copyright or trademark complaints, include your contact details, the work or mark concerned, the short link, and a statement that you're the owner or authorised to act for them.

08Limits and availability

To keep warplo fast and abuse-free, there are limits, such as how many links you can create per minute. We may change them, and may introduce paid plans with higher limits. We'll tell you before any change that affects what you pay.

We aim to keep warplo running all the time, but there's no guaranteed uptime. Links may be briefly unavailable during maintenance or outages. A deleted or expired link may keep working for a short time while caches around the world update.

09Click statistics

The dashboard shows how many times each link was clicked, by day and by country. These numbers are a guide, not an exact count: browsers, privacy tools and caching can cause clicks to be missed or counted twice. Don't rely on them for billing or contracts.

10No warranty

warplo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that every harmful link will be caught. We don't control the websites links point to and aren't responsible for them.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or harm caused by websites that links lead to. Our total liability for any claim about warplo is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

If you break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.

12Ending your use

You can stop using warplo at any time. Delete your links from the dashboard, or ask us to delete your whole account. Once deleted, your links stop working and can't be recovered.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we stop offering warplo. Where reasonable, we'll give notice so you can update links you've shared.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as warplo grows. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. If you keep using warplo after that, the new terms apply.
