01What you can design
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Starting styles | warplo, Classic, Soft, Sunset, Night and Round presets, all fully editable |
| Pattern | Dot style, corner frame and corner centre styles, square or round code |
| Colour | Any colour, linear or radial gradients, or a transparent background |
| Logo | Upload your own (PNG, JPG or SVG up to 1.5 MB), choose its size, and clear the dots behind it |
| Caption | A line of text such as "Scan for the menu" in a coloured frame under the code |
| Download | PNG at 512, 1024 or 2048 px, SVG, or copy the image to paste anywhere |
Your last style is remembered in this browser, so every QR code you make looks consistent. If your colours are too light to scan reliably, the generator warns you before you download.
02How it works
- Paste a link at the top of this page and click Make QR code.
- Pick a preset, then change the pattern, colours, logo and caption. The preview updates as you go.
- Download a PNG or SVG, or copy the image, and add it to your poster, menu, packaging or slides.
03Tracking scans
A QR code made from a plain link opens that page directly, so nobody can count the scans. Make it from a warplo short link instead and every scan passes through warplo first, so scans appear in your click stats by day and country.
Short links also make simpler QR codes: fewer characters means larger, easier-to-scan dots. And because every new warplo link is checked against phishing and malware lists, people scanning your code are sent somewhere safe.
Create a free short link, then use the QR button next to it in your dashboard.
04Printing tips
- Keep strong contrast: dark dots on a light background scan best.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) for close-up scanning, and larger for posters seen from a distance.
- Leave the margin around the code; scanners need the quiet space.
- Use SVG for print so the code stays sharp at any size.
- Scan a test print with two different phones before printing a large batch.
05FAQ
Is this QR code generator free?
Yes. Making and downloading QR codes is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Do the QR codes expire?
A QR code for a plain link never expires: it opens that address for as long as the page exists. A QR code for a warplo short link works until you delete the link or its expiry date passes.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or SVG up to 1.5 MB. Warplo raises the error correction automatically so the code still scans with a logo in the middle.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Yes, if the QR code points to a warplo short link. Every scan opens the short link, so scans appear in your click stats by day and country. QR codes for plain links aren't tracked.
Which file format should I use for print?
SVG scales to any size without blurring, so it's best for print. For PNG, choose 2048 px.
